This
Scholarship is provided by The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial
Fund to Indian Nationals, those who are pursuing their
PhD Studies in India or Indian Nationals those who are
visiting another Asian Countries for Collection of material
for their PhD studies in India or Students of other
Asian Countries pursuing their PhD in India in the subjects
relating to
Science and Technology as an Integral component of economic
and social Activity including the philosophy of Science
Comparative studies in Religion and Culture
International relations and constitutional studies
Indian History, Civilization and culture
Interface of social change and economic development
Environmental ecology and sustainable development
Studies in the life and work of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru
To be eligible, the candidate should be a Post Graduate degree in First Class , not above 35 years of age and should be a full time PhD scholar in any of the Indian Universities. The Scholarship amount is Rs 6,000/- Per Monrth as Maintaince allowances and Rs 10,000/- Per Annum as Contigency expenses including Travel expenses and actual Tuition fees in India.

This Fellowship is given by Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research in Association with Department of Science and Technology and Rajiv Gandhi Foundations, New Delhi to the students presently studying in 1st, 2nd ,3rd year of B.Sc/B.V.Sc/MBBS/B.Pharma, 1st, 2nd years of M. Sc. Courses and and 2nd ,3rd years of B.E/B.Tech. Courses. This fellowship is a summer Research Fellowship and and the tenure of this fellowship is of 2 months with travel assistance and a stipend of Rs. 4000/- P.M. and placement any where in India with Guides choosen by the Centers.
