This scholarship is provided to 20 students for higher studies abroad in the specified field of Engineering, Technology and Science like the subjects of Bio-Technology/Genetic Engineering/Industril Environmental Engineering/Nano Technology/Marine Engineering/Petrochemical Engineering/Plastic Technology/Cryogenic Engineering/Mechatronics/Automation Robotics/Laser Technology/low Temperature Thermo Dynamics/Optometric/Art Restoration Technology/Dock and Harbour Engineering/Imaging Systems Technology/Composite Material Engineering/Packaging Technology/Nuclear Engineering/IT/Industrial Safety Engineering.
The scholarship is in three parts as Post Doctorate fellowship/Doctorate Fellowship and Master Degree Fellowship. The candidate should be a minimum of 60% in PG and PhD with 5 years of experience for the PDF, 60% with M. Phil for PhD and 60% with 2 years work experience for PG Scholarship. The duration of PDF is ½ years, for PhD is 3 tears and for PG is 2 tears extendable to 3 years. The Scholarship s only meant for the students belonging to SC/denotifoied nomadic and semi nomadic tribes, land less agricultural labourers and traditional Artesans (17,2,1).

This fellowship is provided by National Council of Science Museums, an autonomous Scientific and research organizations under the Ministry of Culture to students continuing PG courses in Science Communication being conducted by BITS, Pilani in association with the Council on an off-campus mode. This fellowship is for a period of 2 years. The amount of fellowship is Rs 5000/- P.M for 2 years with additional contingency grant of Rs 5000/- Per annum.
To be eligible for this scholarship , the candidate should be a first class degree in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical/ Electrical / IT/ Telecom/ Instrumentation/ Computer/ Metallurgy/ Chemical/ Production or a PG in (1st Class) Physics/ Chemistry/ Bio-science/ Env. Science. The selected candidate has to sign a bond to make refund of the amount received as fellowship or other grant if they dis-continue their studies in the mid way.
