The Boyscast Fellowship is offered by the Department of Science and technology for a better opportunity for the Young Scientists in the choosen areas of Engineering, Technology or Medicine or Science for under going specialized Training in Overseas Research Laboratory / Institutions. Basically the choosen fields are Atomspheric and Earth Science, Chemical Science, Engineering Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences or Physical Sciences.
The candidate should be under 35 years of age and should held a regular position in a recognized Science and Technological Institutions/ University or Colleges, Preferably a Master Degree or a PhD holder. He/She must be officially sponsored by the employer/ Head of the Organisation with a commitment to depute them for research / Traimning under the Scheme.
In general the amount of fellowship is $ 2400 per month up to 6 months and $ 2000 per month for the next 6 months in addition to a personal grant of Rs 15000/- INR for the First 6 mionths and Rs 20000/-INR for the Last 6 months. Besides this to attend any conference within the host country, the fellow will be paid $ 600 for the First 6 months and $ 1200 for the rest 6 months with free economic class Air Passage Both ways from Air India.

This Scholarship is provided By Basic Research Education and Development (BREAD) for the Students who had excelled in Public Test, but could not afford to persue higher education further. This Scholarship is offered in this field of Science and Technology like Engineering, Computers, Medicine, Veterinary Science , Agriculture , Pharmacy, Polytechnics, Mathematics and Sciences. To apply this Scholarship, the Total Family income of the desirous candidate should be less than Rs 38,000/- (Rs 20,000/-) P A in Rural areas and within the Top 5 Percent rank in CET (Common Entrance Test) or 85% in Intermediate with relaxation of 5% to Rural and Girl Students in Ranks/Percentage. Rank holders in the First attempt preferred and coming from Govt./Govt. aided Schools only. Generally First year Students in the Course of Study Choosen are also preferable.
