PERSONAL INTERVIEW Vs GROUP INTERVIEW:
In the Personal Interview, students are usually examined on the basis of the In formations they provided in the application form like Academic Details, Extra Curricular Activities etc.
But Group Interviews are done to gauge the ability of applicants to work in groups and to what extent the candidate is attentive and receptive to others. Generally the awareness level of the candidate is judged but pre valence of the arrogant or aggressive traits is harmful to the candidate. Displaying the social sensitive and empathy in the group is preferred. In this the applicant level of maturity in dealing with a group of strangers is found out.
BODY LANGUAGE IN THE INTERVIEW :
1. Mirror your Interviewer in a subtle way ever if the Interviewer crosses his/her feet, you should do the same gradually but not immediately.
2. Do not rest in the backside of the chair all through.
Slightly lean towards the Interviewer to demonstrate interest and to maintain eye contact that displays confidence.
3. Keep your hands lower than your elbows, rest them on the arms on the chair or on your thighs or you may make a low steeple with the fingers of both hands.
4. Keep the leg in low cross position where the legs are kept together and crossed at the ankles or you may put your legs in athletic position where one leg is brought under chair so that only toe of that shoe is in contact with the floor. The other leg is firmly planted on the floor parallel with the direction of the chair.

Avoid nervous habits like cracking knuckles, drumming fingers etc.
6. An upright Posture is the best.
7. You need to be relaxed but alert.
8. Avoid slumping in to your seat.
9. When crossing your legs , make sure that you do so at your knees together and do not under any circumstances shake your legs in any manner.
