To answer the above question, which is mostly expected from the employer, you have to prepare your self the following criteria.

“Me expectation will be sub ordinate to the extent of your offer and I would hesitate to suggest a salary when I am sure that you have already a salary range in mind for me and I am confident that you will see that I will get the best emoluments and my only concern is to see that you and the organization gets what it pays for. ”
But after your answer if the employer makes an offer that is lower than your worst and lowest limit, do not get up and walk away. You can ask very politely that how he arrived in that figure and let him justify himself for his salary structure.
Then if you are not satisfied with his explanation for the salary structure, then say that, “sir, I can not really imagine myself sacrificing my education and other accomplishments on an offer that is such variance with industry norms.”
Otherwise if the salary structure is acceptable or you are convinced by his explanation for the salary that he has designed for you, you may accept the offer.
