While applying for abroad studies , a student has to give an SOP (Statement of Purpose) letter along with the application. A SOP is an essay which outline your career goals, your aspirations, the reason to choose a particular programme, degree and so on.
The SOP letter should contain clear and concise thoughts and the statement indicating why they are applying to a particular university but the SOP letter has not to be filled with flowery language and great writing skills . (if and unless you are applying for a major course in English).
The SOP letter defines one’s accomplishments, Goals in the short and Long run and how the candidate is enable to reach these goals. Generally the MBA applicants may not require a statement of purpose but instead may need essay to complete their application. The B-School aspirant have to answer some questions like/as their short term/long term career goals, team work, leadership qualities and activities, ethical dilemma at work place etc. It is preferred to write the SOP within 1000 words of your own. |

Repetition of the same information is not acceptable.
Do not write the SOP with grammar and Spelling mistakes.
Please analyze the information that you are providing
Use the language/words in which you are comfortable with.
Check and Recheck the SOP and make sure that you discussed the salient points in the application.
Do not start the sentence with “Due to”, “Hopefully” etc.
Some students write “The reasons because” which is a wrong approach. You can mention “The reason is that/ It is because”
Do not use “Which” for people in case writing “Who”
Use “They” when talking about countries, cities, newspapers, TVs etc.
Use the Style/Pattern as “Something is where”/ “Something is when |

After Intermediate : TOEFL with SAT-1
Under Graduate opting
for Graduate Course : TOEFL with SAT-II (For High Ranked College/Universities)
Graduate opting
for Post Graduate : TOEFL with GRE or
TOEFL with AGRE (AGRE For Ranked Universities)
Opting for Management Courses : TOEFL with GMAT
Aspiring for a Doctorate : TOEFL With GRE
Other Examinations/Scores required for Study abroad are TSE/TWE/ACT/LSAT which are Optional |
