WRITING A PERFECT e-CV
It is very much important to get a C.V. Organized so that it looses nothing, on the contrary gains something when probed electronically by an artificial intelligent robot (Specifically meant for e-CV Only). It is very much critical for every Job Seeker to know how to engineer his/her C.V so that it has the greatest chance of being picked up for consideration by an HR executive to fit for the vacancy advertised.
Now-a-days most of the Organizations are going for Electronically C.V s which will be stored in a Data Base that will be scanned for certain key words that may be prominent and necessary for the Job in view. So the use of Terms and Phrases that the HR search devices are programmed for a pick up are important while writing a C.V. it is preferred that for electronically asked C.V, the C.V has to be written in Text Format only or other formats specially asked by the employer.
For reference of the Applicants a general difference between the traditional C.V and e-C.V (Text Format) are given.
GIVING REFERENCE IN THE C.V
For employers checking references result in making good hiring choice since the information gathered in a Job related reference. Check can factor to the hiring decision but failure to check reference results in a poor hiring choice.
Check reference is done to

Verify work history provided by the candidate
2. To get additional Job related information.
While quoting reference always ask the referred person for their permission. Do not use the reference unless a Job listing asks for this.

1. In text resumes the characteristics recognition software will not be able to read the text in graphic. So this has to be avoided.
2. Times New Roman, Arial Fonts which are least fussy are easily machine read should be used
3. Comic Sans, Lucida handwriting is mostly avoidable because the machine readers may not be able to decipher the scan.
4. In case of Arial the size of the Font should be 10 but in case of Times New Roman the Font Size should be 12-14.
5. No more than 65 characters per line
6. Bold, Italics and Under line formats are strictly avoided in Text Format but in Rich Text Format to high light you may try all capital letters.
7. Bullet points will not work well and should be avoided in text format
8. All text matters should be justified to the left
9. Your name should be present on every sheet so that they can be easily found out in electronically C.V format
10. Pale Manila tinted paper for printing of C.V is preferable that helps the text standard from the background.
11. Laser printings are preferred
12. Do not staple the C.V that could damage the pages.
13. Never fold an e-C.V . Dispatch your C.V in a A-4 Size manila document envelope so that everything arrives flat and in easily scan able form.
14. Mention special skills that matches the one the employer has asked for.
15. Do not send a photocopy of the Bio data to the employer.
16. Include every degree, diplomas qualifications that you have earned since your graduation with your areas of your specialization. |

Tips for Good Resume Building
1. Missing a Phone no can make a good resume look in complete even if the E-mail ID is present.
2. Resume differs from Curriculum Vitae.
3. In most cases the Resume should be a One Page Document.
4. In Resume, Career Objective, Educational History, Academic and Other Achievements, Volunteer Work and Language Skills can be stated.
5. All Statements in the Resume should be brief and to the Point.
6. Systematically categories achievements and state it in the Resume.
7. If you have any Work experience, focus on that.
8.Project Training as a part of course curriculum should not be mentioned as work experience.
9. If you have some notable achievements/Scholarships, do mention that for a better appraisal of Your Resume.
